I was online with 8 or 10 friends the other night, and, since it’s no longer weird to have conversations about toilet paper, you won’t be too surprised that we had this conversation. Turns out only half of us grew up using the paper method in the first place! They are in excellent company, as it turns out.

After hearing from the crew, I’m now really questioning the whole idea of paper. Options to consider: There’s the bidet, the bidet shower, the lota, and according to my research, just a plain ol’ water bottle will work.

We’ve only been using toilet paper regularly in the US for about a century, who knew? Not me anyway.

What will be the Farmer’s Almanac joke of 2120?
