Everyday, in our lives, we met so many people, who differs in religion, race, skin colour, and even countries. And in everything, there’s got to be a leader. Leader position is available in almost all aspect in our lives. It is inevitable that the leader isn’t in the same group as we are, especially when we live in multicultural country, however, still, we have to elect them.

Tolerance, consensus, is the key to multicultural country. Without them, rather than cooperating, we would tear each other apart. Every religion teaches us to be tolerant with the others. But, there’s a border line I’m talking here. Electing a non-believer leader.

Not all of the believer are competent on being in charge. So does the non-believer. Hence why I think we shouldn’t choose the leader based on religion. There are lots of religion fanatics out there who believes that you must not choose a non-believer leader. Even if the believer is a corruptor, doesn’t do a good job. How ridiculous is that?

I read the article that wrote about it, saw some comments, 5 minutes later I nearly smack my forehead. The funny thing is, they always said, “Choose a believer to be the leader!” however, when I commented on the article, “Which one do you prefer, a believer who’s a corruptor, doesn’t do any good to the nation, or a non-believer who does great job and actually gives benefits to the nation?” they said, “I’ll choose a believer who does great job and gives benefits to the nation!” Umm. I hate to break this, but your answer is out of context.

Why should we choose our leader based only by their believe? Couldn’t we choose them based on their dedication to the nation? I mean, our country weren’t declared only by one religion, there are lots, who supports this country, too. I think that’s the point of multicultural country, to support and cooperate, rather than tearing each other apart.

Just my 50 cents to my lovely country whose believers are debating whether it’s okay or not to vote for the non-believer as a leader. I, myself, as long as the non-believer does better work than the believer, I would support them.
