Generally, does a bad reputation in high school ruin a person’s reputation for life?
Of course it doesn’t.
Being realistic though, the important thing to recognise is that if you don’t keep doing things beyond high school then that perhaps will be the only thing you will be remembered for
With this in mind, my best recommendation is that you keep doing the things that you’re passionate about.
People, are very fickle. So as you continue on your journey in life you will soon find that the more you do the less that people will remember things that happened further in the past or anything specific about you.
Rather you will become known as Richard the programmer or David the engineers or Mike the basketball player
