Is it worth getting a double major in computer science and software engineering:

Without knowing what your actual end goal is; here goes:

If the dream is to become a top software developer then it is not predicated upon any degree that you would get there are now so many alternatives outside of formal education to learn the skills that you need in terms of direct situation online courses free you cheap tutorials and so on and so forth

If it’s your aim to build an app or web application or something similar then I don’t think it’s worth getting a double major in computer science and software engineering!

I have friends that have degrees, as well as clients in computer science and software engineering and they say the a lot of the stuff that they learnt really wasn’t that useful when I went out into the real world in terms of how applied to what they do now for a living.
