Lies of omission
- I’ve run 18 marathons
- (But I haven’t done a sub 3 hour marathon. I haven’t run Boston. I’m actually a mediocre runner relative to the amount of runs I’ve done)
- I was homeless for a week
- (But I did have a camera crew following me around filming me)
- Tattoo pain is ok
- I’m happy!
- (I have at least 3–5 ‘wtf am I doing moments’ weekly)
Lies to deceive
- Yes I’ve done an ultramarathon recently
- Before I did a 115km event. I hadn’t. I lied on the form
- ‘Someone stole my mobile phone’
- Away on military training. I lost it. I just didn’t want to get punished
- ‘No I’ve not used Tinder much’
- There I am on Tinder Plus swiping away
Lies to protect
- I’ve got no injuries
- I had a fractured toe. Going ‘toe-to’toe’ for my first Muay Thai fight
- Sure I got into Deloitte. My maths is perfect
- Looking over my accountants numbers. Not having a clue wtf they mean
