The reason why the late 20s are very depressing:
Because you’re almost 30.
This is a milestone in life where multiple things are ‘supposed to have happened’:
- Stable career
- Long term partner
- Marriage on the cards or
- Already married
- Your first asset on the property ladder
If you haven’t got them you’re like ‘I need to get them’
If you have got them you’re like ‘is this it? The rest of my life?’
And going through these moments of depression you realise the cliche is true.
Life is what you make it.
