The top ten things one should experience in life:
Let’s build an alternative list (in no particular order)
- Therapy
- Devote $500 to it to get assessed and have several sessions working out your ‘heeby jeebies’. It’ll pay off 100x in the future
- Sex after reading books on Sex
- My friends used to laugh about this saying ‘I’m alright thanks!’ After I told them of my ‘progress’. They all went out and bought the books
- Reading Seminal Literature
- Romeo and Juliet, Paradise Lost, The Bible, Great Expectations, To Kill a Mockingbird.
- Reading Interesting Non Fiction
- The Five Love Languages, Men are From Mars Women are From Venus, The Personal MBA, Born to Run, You choose
- Backpacking & Living Abroad Alone
- Do a South America tour yourself. 3–6 months. Then live abroad 3–6 months. The things you will learn..
- Run a marathon
- It’s a historic distance. Will help you get in shape. You can brag about it. Some people flat out walk it
- Chat up a man/woman at the bar
- If unattached. This massively develops your ability to think on your feet — and helps you cope with pressure, develop composure
- Fall in love/make friends with someone from another culture
- You gain so much from this. Language, food, personality, adventure, cultural development. It’s amazing
- Create something
- A business, painting, art, music, dance, poetry, literature. Creation is a wonderful outlet
- Find Purpose in your life
- The most elusive but most meaningful thing to hunt for. The thing that you could do for free. Forever and always.
