Why I Write on Medium
I’ve less days ahead of me than I have more and I’ve finally decided that I’d better put it all out there in some form or fashion. There are so many haunted houses on the Internet. Web sites built and left to rot. Blogs begun only to dwindle and die. Interests change and shift. I understand that. It’s part of being human. But I think what we do here on Medium is light lanterns and set them afloat. Maybe we string them side by side. Maybe we let the wind carry them away but we send them out and that’s the important thing. We send out something shining and, for better or for worse, it’ll always be out there. For myself, I think it’s the way I’d like best to be remembered. Immortality in the upload.
