Social Engineering: A Primer (PART DUX)

:..>One of the biggest yet often underused tools in the hacker toolkit, Social Engineering is the art of manipulating a person using the oldest programming language in existence: Human Spoken Dialog. Some of the biggest hacks, heists, calamities, peace treaties and elections were made through the use of social engineering. This primer will give an introduction and in depth look to methodologies of social engineering (Recon, Body Language, Conversation Flow, Mind Games, Scams, ect) and techniques that the author has found to be the most successful. Updated material will include an introduction to the Social Engineering Toolkit and an interactive review of the Circle of HOPE social engineering attack.

I never trust anybody who likes Social Engineering or is even proud of doing it :D … I hate lying and manipulation of fellow humans.” — LiveOverflow

The folks I’ve met who gravitate towards being ‘social engineers’ usually have character flaws that totally make sense why they would want to be better at manipulating people.” — Ben Heist
