The beauty of Meteor is it provides an integrated solution. You can still use microservices with Meteor and in fact DDP makes it very easy.
Webpack/code splitting etc is great, but this is more of a architectural and build tool decision, not framework.
The main benefit of Meteor is reactivity. GraphQL has no solution to this as of yet. The only advances being made are again by MDG in the form of Apollo.
When Apollo is part of Meteor in the next version, and if they improve the build chain, add npm, as is planned, will you come back? Because really I see no cons in the platform besides that.
