Back Yard workouts.💯‼️

An efficient life is a life of adaptation. If you can adapt to your surroundings you get more done. A happy life becomes much more enjoyable when you are grateful for every little thing that comes your way. Today I am grateful for my back yard.

Its the little things.

At my house, no one uses the back yard. We have a screened in lanai (an exterior room with screens and a roof, common to Florida). That’s about as far as we go out back. I love the outdoors, but at this house the back yard is boring. Nothing exciting about it. Until today.

So today I didn’t go to the gym. I used the back yard for my workout. Changing up your workout routine can be of a huge benefit to your mood and your body. I have subscribed to the idea of constantly varied workouts. This workout today consisted of a short stretching routine followed by sets of burpees and sprints. I did 7 sets of 10 burpees with 2 -25m sprints in-between the burpees. This is a workout that any one can do to their fitness level. (Scale the intensity to your own ability.)

The lack of equipment needed for this workout makes it so easy to do any where. Running on the grass was nice treat for my knees. Sprinting in between fences requires quick starting and stopping. Short burst of sprints combined with the burpees raises your heart up to a great fat burning rate. I don’t wear a heart rate monitor but I found myself gasping for breath by the time I got to the 4th set.

Today i had the feeling of a child running back and forth in the backyard. I hope to inspire you to break your routine of the normal gym workout. If you don’t have a back yard, find a local park, grab your shoes and enjoy the out doors. Exercise doesn’t have to be complicated or require expensive equipment.
