Hi Susie — great questions. This is a hypothetical solution and while determining how content is organized in a unique users’ feed, this is something that would probably need to be studied further to determine exactly what the best option might be. That being said, having the option to filter is definitely a feature that would be useful and could potentially be included in the settings, however, I did not dig this deep in crafting the experience.
In terms of sorting content, I would think the best way to sort content would be determined based on a users reading history (relying on AI to sort content) which would be developed over time. This would be developed theoretically through a users interactions with content (ie. favoriting, time spent in publications/articles /categories). This would be something for future iterations to build upon and definitely worth exploring, but as earlier mentioned, for the purpose of this study I chose to only build the foundation.
