This is so true. At Boise State University, in Boise, Idaho USA we are developing an ethnographic design course for students. It’s an undergraduate certificate in ethnography. What makes it unique is that we are working with practitioners around the USA to encourage better relationships between anthropologists and the world outside of academia. It’s a wonderful experience for students I think, to get experience in the user testing and course development of this certificate! Thanks for posting! UX is certainly relevant and anthropologists can contribute a lot. I am an evolutionary anthropologist and I think it’s so important to use applied anthropology, especially with regard to cultural evolution. It all plays a huge role.
