In the summer of 2019, HBO aired a new TV show that followed Rue (Zendaya), a troubled drug addict navigating high school. The show also follows other main characters Maddie (Alexa Demie), Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), Nate (Jacob Elordi), and Lexie (Maude Apatow).

Euphoria was an instant success, a magnet for viewers all around the world who were pulled into the fascinating lives of these fictional characters. After a nearly three year break following season 1, Euphoria returned for season 2 in January of 2022, and viewers picked up right where they left off.

One of the most significant parts of the show is the distinct fashion and makeup that are featured on the main characters. It has been interesting to watch these trends from the show migrate quickly into mainstream culture. Although they weren’t necessarily original to the show itself, Euphoria has paved the way for this style of dressing to be considered the norm.
