A fashionable lady at 60 years — Inès de La Fressange

La Fressange was created in Gassin, Var, France, the daughter of André p Seignard, Marquis de La Fressange (b. 1932), also a French stockbroker, along with his wife, the former Cecilia “Lita” Sánchez-Davila, an Argentine-Colombian version (closely associated with 2 former presidents of Colombia, Alfonso Lopez Pumarejo and Alfonso Lopez Michelsen.

Her family on her dad’s side comes from old French nobility, also had the seigneury of ‘de La Fressange’ from the Velay (at Auvergne). Her grandma, the marchioness into Paul de La Fressange, was born Simone Lazard, also was heiress to the Lazard banking fate (Banque Lazard). She wed two ministers in series, Maurice Petsche, and Louis Jacquinot. She studied in the Tournelle Institution at Courgent, then in the Notre-dame p Mantes-la-Jolie Institution at the Yvelines where she obtained her bacalaureat in Age 16, then went to the L’École du Louvre at Paris.

Career She became filmed by many as “the speaking mannequin”, because of her inclination to converse to fashion journalists and express her views on her livelihood and on trend.

In 1975, at age 18, La Fressange looked for the first time in photographs from Oliviero Toscani for Elle magazine, subsequently modelled for Thierry Mugler along with other designers.

In 1983 Inès de La Fressange became the primary prototype to signal an exclusive modeling contract with all the haute couture fashion house, Chanel, by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, whose muse she became because of her remarkable resemblance to the brand’s creator, Coco Chanel, who died in 1971. She had been the first prototype to sign an exclusivity contract with a style house and also the first model to turn into a huge media character and popular figure in style history, a sign of the 1980s because of her omnipresence.
