Uber: (Getting Over)^3

You won’t be surprised to learn that I prefer my own take on this: https:[email protected]/live-from-la-farine-the-good-the-bad-and-the-uber-2bf0687cfbf0.
I see Uber as a myopia play against drivers, a privatization play against citizens, but also as a location-of-customers play for drivers, a signal-intensity-of-demand play for drivers, a my-taxi-is-really-coming play for customers, and a disruption play against medallion-0wning rentiers and their corrupt political allies. Plus Uber picks up Black males with credit cards. So why isn’t that a net plus — not as big a net plus as it could be, mind you, if properly regulated, but still a net plus — in your eyes?
