We know that Sterling was carrying a gun. We know that he had a police record of illegal possession of a firearm. We know that his encounter with the police was precipitated by a report by another citizen of Sterling’s threatening use of a gun (not the sale of cigarettes).

Can you please provide links to this information? Yes, Sterling had a gun, but that gun was registered in another town, Robbinsdale. You say that as if having a legal permit to carry a gun is illegal. Honestly, do you have any legitimate sources? Thanks in advance.
