Matthew Loveland

Hey grandson , grandpa here. I just finished reading your post on the Sabbath . I enjoyed reading it . Just want to make a few remarks on it.

The Seventh Day Sabbath was instituted at creation not at Mt. Sinai and is the only day that was (blessed) and (sanctified) ever. At creation there were no Jewish people . The Sabbath was given to man kind, not to the Jewish Nation.

The fourth commandment is the only commandment that God saw fit to say( Remember)the Sabbath day to keep it holy and that the seventh day is the (sabbath of the Lord thy God) : in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son , nor thy daughter , thy man servant , nor thy maidservant , nor thy cattle , nor thy stranger which is in thy gates : for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth , the sea , and all that in them is , and (rested the seventh day) , and (Hallowed) it . And as you said , by keeping the first four is showing our true love for God . And the last six commandments is showing true love for one another .

The sixth day of creation ,God created the foods that we should eat and, behold, it was good . It was very good .

After the flood because the plant life was destroyed, God allowed us to eat meat, fish , birds but He gave us instructions of what we could eat . Only clean meats that he showed us . No where did he tell us we could eat unclean meats . This also was instituted before there was a Jewish Nation ,Before mount Sinai .

Keep writing , I enjoy hearing your thoughts. the Lord is working with you. May God continue to bless you and your beautiful family .

Love Grandpa and Grandma
