Time Is Money

But collecting the money can be a hassle. And it gets worse if you bill by the hour or work remotely for your clients, as it is with freelancers, teachers, consultants and lots of other online service providers.

You end up with countless spreadsheets and bills to file. You find yourself chasing your clients for the money, leading to frustration, misunderstandings and wasted time. Asking the client for an upfront payment can be risky. It adds friction and demands too much commitment - you might end up losing the gig to someone else.

Even though some business relationships are based on a long history of mutual trust, that’s not always the case. The surge of the on-demand economy creates a new set of urgent, short and ephemeral requests to be fulfilled: students desperately looking for online help the week before exams; programmers trying to solve the last bugs before an important deadline, etc.

That’s why we built Faradam: to help people get paid for their time. Faradam allows anyone to charge per minute for their on-demand services and have possession of the money as time goes by.

How it works

Faradam is really easy to use. As a service provider, you can set up a Faradam Timer tied to your bitcoin address and your desired hourly price rate. You share it with your client, who connects it to their bitcoin wallet and money starts flowing on a per minute basis as soon as the timer is on.

You don’t even have to change how you provide the service: Faradam Timer works independently of the products you already use, whether it’s Skype, telephone, WebEx, Facetime or WhatsApp calls...

A payment infrastructure for time

By taking away the friction of collecting payments for service providers, we want to enable a whole set of on-demand business interactions that were not possible using traditional payment methods. We want to empower consultants, freelancers, teachers, lawyers, psychologists, doctors and remote workers to easily offer their time and services in exchange for money, without middlemen.

Try Faradam, create a Timer and get paid for providing your services in real time.
