INTERNATIONAL ESSAY COMPETITION DEM SEMARANG 2023

Dede Indraswara (President of DEM Semarang 2023) — “Kompetition teaches us to surpass the limits that we thought were impossible.”

The International Essay Competition is an essay writing competition held globally. This competition was held to encourage students from various countries to express their ideas, thoughts, and views on various topics that are relevant to global issues and the challenges facing the world today.

On April 2, 2023, the Semarang Student Energy Council (DEM) held an International Essay Competition (IEC) which was attended by 101 participants from 6 countries and 3 continents since February. This competition aims to promote awareness of global energy issues and motivate students to think creatively about innovative solutions to the energy challenges facing the world today.

In addition, there are 6 sub-themes that can be covered in participant essays, namely Environment, Social Culture, Education, Law, and Economy. These sub-themes cover various aspects related to energy and global awareness, such as environment, culture, education, law, and economics.

With these themes and sub-themes, participants are expected to be able to explore and demonstrate new ways of optimizing global energy sovereignty. Participants are also expected to be able to find innovative solutions that can have a positive impact on the environment, society, and the global economy.

In order to achieve a better world, this competition offers an opportunity for participants to express their ideas and motivates the younger generation to think creatively and innovatively in finding better solutions to the global energy challenges faced today.
