Finding Purpose; A Lesson in Selfhood

When I first started my illustration career in 2015 it was so full of hope and excitement for what I could create. I was painting frivolous watercolor paintings of perfume bottles and conventionally beautiful faces. I didn’t put a lot of thought into what I created, that’s just what came out of me. Mostly I was focusing on recovering from a severe burnout after graduating college at the top of my class and then pushing myself to keep up with the ridiculous hours the fashion industry required of me.
