I moved from Orlando in 2011, the summer before my freshman year in high school started. Made my way through high school, passing grades, good friends, bad times. I dealt with the generic group of mean girls (of all ages) in those four years. You learn to ignore it, and be better than those people. And it works.

My freshman year here at the University of Minnesota has been slightly different than my freshman year in Mankato.

I relate a lot of what I know, to what I’m currently learning. All the time. Unsure whether it’s a good or bad strategy but it works for me when I need to have some peace of mind. When I’m going through anything, I seem to relate a good experience, or a bad one, think about how things were, determine the best way to deal with it, and then do it that way.
