My trip to Cuba ♥ 2017
My amazing trip to Cayo Santa María — La Habana
It all started with driving 5 hours from La Habana to Cayo Santa María
Ps. I will publish another blog in spanish, you’ll see the link here ;)
Once we arrived to Cayo Santa María, we visited a Dolphin Aquarium!
Ps. I have to share that I felt a little uncomfortable seeing dolphings doing tricks
Welcome to P a r a d i s e!
Beautiful warm shallow water!
After enjoyed la playa, we went snorkeling!
If you visit Cuba, don’t miss spend some time on a Cayo destination!
We stayed at Hotel Playa Cayo Santa María, all inclusive
Food is delicious, very big resort, it has a theater with different shows every night, large swimming pools, plus it is in front of the beach, where you have assistance, by the way! I fell for the Cuban lifeguard, sadly I didn’t get to take him a picture!
Now we’re heading to La Habana !!! But before we get there, let’s enjoy the surrounding villages
First, we visited the Museo del Ron Havana Club, considered the Run of Cuba
I loved Guaravana! a cocktail made with run, orange juice and sugar cane. You can squeeze the sugar cane there, it’s so delicious!!
You can take a tour through the facilities, they explain how rum is made, it’s history and includes a shot of premium run at the end
We also visited Partagas Cigar factory, but we missed the tour because it is open only monday to friday, so we spent some time in the boutique where you can find cigars from different brands. I ended up buying a Romeo and Julieta cigar!
We were in La Habana only for 4 days, there is so much to see that did not reach us time. I hope you enjoy my images from this captivating city!
Do you listen trova? One of the highlights of my trip is that we got to see Silvio Rodriguez in concert!!! click play! It’s very likely that you have heard this classic love song
Last year, The Rollings Stones made history by being the first rock band to give a concert in Cuba, and it was free! Can you imagine having been there?
What about Food?
La Guarida is one of the best restaurants in La Habana, exquisite food, plus it has a terrace with an amazing view of the city
And for our last night in Cuba! we decided to have dinner at Plaza Vieja, in La Vitrola. My video is in spanish, basically I’m saying what I have share to you in this blog, hope you enjoyed it!
