What an interesting article! I remember as a kid in northern Ontario helping my mom use an old wringer washer and then we would hang up the laundry on the line. Now I live in Vancouver BC where it is always raining so it is harder to line dry. But everyone in my neighborhood has a line out back and on a sunny day every house seems to take advantage of it and hang out their laundry. The comments about how dryers wreck your clothing are right on the money. I find my clothes that I always hang up on a rack in the house stay nice longer.
