This is where you’re right and he’s wrong. Thank you for showing people the right way to have these discussions. Facebook posts and anonymous manifestos don’t foster healthy exchanges of ideas.
The author would have kept his job and possibly made a meaningful difference at Google if he understood where and how to air his grievances. He may have felt silenced, but there were many others who agreed, even partially, that he could have engaged with. He could have come at this at a different angle, starting with what Google did right and why.
He “de-emphasised empathy" in his post and decided that what he wanted to say was more important than having a two-way discussion.
I hope people take you up on your offer.
