Your suggestion in this letter that the American people honestly have the power of choice in this matter, is naive at best. We are a nation that has only one voice in choosing it’s leadership, and that is the electoral college. Regardless, I have to ask if you truly believe that these two candidates are not “of the norm,”? Our political system has been wrought with lying and scandal since the beginning. Look at Jefferson, Jackson, Nixon, FDR, Lyndon, they all have done things that are grossly unpopular to the public, yet every election cycle we get on our high horses and tell each other that the “Voters will prevail!” Our Republic is slow to change, and we have been cultivating these candidates for decades, this was only a matter of time and you know it. If you are as independent as you claim to be, as conservative as you claim to be, then prove your words in law and vote and start making changes that actually impact the people you represent.
