Why THIS Republican Woman Will Not Vote For Trump….

Everyone views the political landscape through their own lense. Anyone who has ever worked on an election is naturally bias. Their candidate is innately good and the other guy is horrible. As a lifelong voter I have voted for Presidents of both parties and frankly neither party is morally superior. The whole family values argument has been just a dog whistle for the Republican party ( look at who blew that whistle the loudest and count the number of marrages between them). There are as many Good Value Orientated individuals in the Democratic party as the Republican party. They disagree on policy and thats OK , the American people should be allowed to vote for candidates based on policy. Unfortunately the parties have chosen to demonize eachother and this is where we have ended up. The decision by Republican leadership to make Obama a one term president at any cost has certainly cost the party and ultimately the American voter a lot. I am sure this is not where those men thought they were taking us but this is where we landed. Creating a caricature of a man, feeding birtherism, allowing and fueling the idea he was part of the Muslim brotherhood, painting him as the worst president ever even before he was inaugurated , giving journalistic value to Breitbart conspiracy theorists. Year after year of investigation after investigation with no substancial allegation against Hillary ever proven means not that she is not as bad as they thought but rather sooo horrible they cant even prove it. Well it worked … kind of. Republicans now have a riled up base that believes the red meat they have been feeding them knowing it was not based in fact and that base is furious but unfortunately ready to bite the hand that fed it to them. They might be inately good men but they made a very bad decision and have painted themselves into a corner. The Republicans are in trouble and not just because they might lose this election but because they are in danger of losing their identity and that will not be good for anyone. My hope is that rational and good men and woman of both parties sit down together, stop demonizing eachother, and figure out how to fix this mess they have made.
