Poem 12: That Tree of Memory — July 28
I am writing 365 poems in 365 days. If I am traveling or away from the computer I will post my poems first chance I get back. If you have a request don’t hesitate to ask.
That Tree of Memory

Its green crown rose high into the distant sky,
Silent,it stood almost invisible from my eye,
Long branches stretching upward like strong fingers,
My childhood of climbing are the memories that linger,
I would stand high like the captain in my own ship,
Sailing from the crown in the open seas with nothing to hit.
