Ah, shall I give away my trade secrets? Honestly, I look at your photos or think of some topic I believe would make a decent poem and then tuck the idea away in the secret corners of my mind. I will be working, not even thinking of the topic or the photo, and an idea will start taking form, then later a line or two will sneak into my consciousness. I jot them down or type them in whatever word processing program I have available. And, so goes the day — a drip, a drab, a little here, a little there. When I have enough pieces and a few spare minutes, I try to make sense and beauty out of what has accumulated. Tada — a poem is born!
