as a fetus

i understood sacrifice

as a newborn

i was celebrated

as a son

obedience was expected

as a brother

loyalty was another sibling

as a student

am still learning

as a teenager

i questioned a father

quarreled a brother

wished a sister for another

disappointed a mother

as an orphan

life was short

life was cruel

life was lonely

as a friend

few is the trend

as a lover

the heart is delicate

hurt is underrated

as a traitor

always take the blame

everyone wants to play the victim

as a pioneer

bring the future near

as a poet

leave no words on your plate
