I’m excited to announce that starting today I am joining OmiseGO as the new VP of Commercial and Business Development.

Technology as an enabler for better access to opportunity and designing the future have been two of my key guiding principles in what I do. Opening a new professional chapter in moving away from the telecommunications industry into fintech allows me to work in a fast-emerging area that remains incredibly important to people around the world, and help shape that for the better.

Particularly access to financial services remains an issue for many underserved communities. At the same time, legacy banking in mature banking markets is stifled and slow in innovation, resulting in often times outdated services. Major risks, and dependency on few centralised key players further complicates the picture.

OmiseGO, under the wider Omise Holdings umbrella, believes in enabling people to access financial services that are fast, fair and secure. Having access to financial services can fundamentally change lives. These beliefs and values are close to my heart.

At OmiseGO we are building inclusive financial technology, such as enabling real-time payment services, exchange, wallet and token solutions. We are at the forefront of designing the future, through leveraging blockchain’s strengths including decentralisation, easier access to markets, interoperability, security and transparency.

My focus will be on the commercialisation of our technologies and services, exploring exciting partnerships and collaborations, and together with the teams ensure that what we offer is relevant, needed and scalable. I look forward to diving right in, thinking creatively and pushing forward. I also look forward to connecting with many of you in my network to explore ideas and pathways into the future, and perhaps to even partner up!
