When Things Go Sideways

“Your hand opens and closes, opens and closes. If it were always a fist or always stretched open, you would be paralyzed. Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding, the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated as birds’ wings.” ~ Rumi

It’s good to occasionally contemplate the miracle of Life and how it sustains you without asking anything of you other than to remain open to the pulsation of its heartthrob “contracting and expanding…contracting and expanding” without end. When you align with this Life Force you’ll intuit there is a time to give and a time to receive…a time to work and a time to rest…a time for light and a time for darkness…a time to serve and a time to be served…a time to inhale and a time to exhale.

You can see how interconnected Life is when you become the silent witness to your oneness with it. Breathe mindfully — in and out — knowing, as with all opposites, one is necessary for the other to exist. This is how to find your balance when things tend to go sideways…and they will…and that’s okay!

Peace, Dennis
