Why So Single?
This, of all the perspectives I have heard any man take with regards to finding the one, is the icing on the cake. I agree, it’s quite a daunting task to find a woman that ticks all your boxes, but surely they say the same about finding such men as well.
I must admit I’ve have been single for so long that I’ve learned to be happy by myself. Being single turned out to be a haven of some sort, something worth protecting even. So much so that I realized I make up excuses not to get into a relationship.
The most famous one being; lack of financial stability. Valid in its very nature but then most of us have an absurd expectation of what we term as stability. Lack of a soul connection is probably my greatest excuse though, finding someone that understands the language of my soul.
I like to think of love as anything that transcends all the limitations of our physical, economic, or religious preferences. Unconditional is what it is. Unfortunately the world is swimming deep in mediocrity and we are not ashamed to wear superficiality on our sleeves.
I wonder why it’s so difficult for us to love the way our Father, God, loves us. By the very virtue of us being moulds of clay and Him eternal, in the standards of what we nowadays pass of as love, none of us would stand a chance at being objects of His love. It’s important to understand within yourself how much God loves you. Maybe then we would not set up so many barriers to prevent us from true love.

“Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning.

Because love is like the water that is transformed into a cloud: it’s lifted up into the heavens, where it can see everything from a distance, aware that, one day, it will have to return to earth.

Because love is like the cloud that is transformed into rain: it is drawn down to the earth, where it waters the fields.

Love is only a word, until we decide to let it possess us with all its force.

Love is only a word, until someone arrives to give it meaning”. - Paulo Coelho
