Kalosian Chandelure: A Creative Fan Redesign
A passionate Pokemon enthusiast, known as WishfulWren, has ingeniously reimagined the ghostly Pokemon Chandelure as a Kalosian regional variant, showcasing their artistic prowess and imaginative storytelling within the Pokemon community. This new iteration of Chandelure not only boasts a striking visual overhaul but also comes with an intriguing backstory that seamlessly integrates into its design.
Originally known as the “Luring Pokemon,” Chandelure is a formidable Ghost and Fire dual-type creature introduced in Pokemon Black and White, evolving from Lampent when exposed to a Dusk Stone. Despite its absence from the original roster of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Chandelure and its evolutionary line can now be discovered in the Teal Mask DLC. Renowned for its exceptional special attack and speed attributes, as well as its versatile abilities like Flame Body and Flash Fire, Chandelure has earned its place as a prized member of many Pokemon teams, admired by fans worldwide.
Anticipating the forthcoming release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, WishfulWren took it upon themselves to craft a Kalosian counterpart to Chandelure, sharing their captivating artwork on the popular r/pokemon subreddit. Departing from the traditional Ghost and Fire typing, this Kalosian variant now boasts a formidable combination of Steel and Fire types, akin to the legendary Heatran. However, this alteration comes with its own set of vulnerabilities, making Kalosian Chandelure susceptible to quadruple damage from Ground-type attacks like Earthquake.
In their redesign, WishfulWren infused Kalosian Chandelure with a menacing aura, adorning its sleek metallic frame with crimson eyes, a sinister grin, and additional curved horns. While the ghostly purple flames that define Chandelure’s essence remained intact, the central flame was replaced with a metallic arm resembling fire, enhancing its otherworldly allure. Even the Shiny variant retained its distinctive color scheme, featuring gray metal frames, orange candle fire, and piercing blue eyes.
