I’ve been reading a book a week since 2016.

That’s 340 books as of this writing. Here are three must-reads on the mindfulness practice of journaling.

The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron

Cameron’s book unravels the importance of Morning Pages, a daily journaling practice to unclog your mind and foster creativity.

Morning Pages can be part of your daily routine, akin to brushing your teeth or making breakfast; consistency is key. Creating a safe space to vent allows your mind to explore uncharted territories of self-reflection and introspection.

Writing Down the Bones by Natalie Goldberg

Goldberg’s book emphasizes writing as a mindfulness practice for writers and anyone seeking self-growth through journaling.

She encourages free writing — unedited, raw thoughts that spring from your mind, a technique that leads to self-discovery and acceptance. In her book, Goldberg showcases the link between the mind’s stillness and creative abundance.

The Bullet Journal Method by Ryder Carroll

This book revolutionizes traditional journaling with an efficient, structured format called bullet journaling.

The book combines the benefits of a planner, diary, and to-do list, but its core purpose is to empty your mind, organize your thoughts, and track your life. The Bullet Journal Method is more about the process and less about creating a perfect journal. Creating an index, daily logs, and monthly logs creates a custom system that evolves with you.

What book have you found helpful for the profound transformational journey through mindful journaling?
