Dear Sir, absolutely no attempt to hide my “name”; this is just the name of the blog I write under.

There is, again, no deliberate attempt to “put down” the fine men of any Corps and I apologize if it came across as such. This was a post merely putting forward the case for a separate SF command. A separate SF regiment almost became a reality when Maj General (later Lt. General) Vijay Oberoi (during General BC Joshi’s tenure) was appointed Colonel of the SF regiment — around the same time the DDGMO(SF) post was also created. So I would say there have been attempts made in that direction as far back as the early 90’s, scuttled for whatever reason.

I am glad you liked the narrative and would be grateful if you can point me to any factual errors — I try and research (primary and secondary) quite a bit to avoid these!
