Nice article with comprehensive advice. Personally though, I don’t set my anxiety on par with other standard human emotions.
It’s not a normal feeling nor is it an open shut case of worrying too much. Anxiety is less of an emotion and more of an emotion modifier. It’s like if a smooth running freeway is your emotions and a traffic jam is your anxiety. It’s important to objectively, without judgement, examine the subjects of your anxiety and gently ask yourself why.
Accept your worries with complete self-love and flow peacefully with traffic. Modern medicine removes cars from the traffic jam which does helps in the moment. It’s up to you to expand your highways to accommodate so it doesn’t happen again. Anxiety is just an indicator that personal emotional growth is required. Most importantly it’s a reminder to accept change when it inevitably happens and to have the patience for the times when you do have power over it.
Practice being present. Google mindfulness. Use a meditation app if needed. Work on slowing your thoughts and breath. None of it requires spending a dime. No profit should be made off of the backs of someone who’s suffering when we all have the free tools to ease it readily available.
