New Title: “Bitcoin apologist worships bitcoin and hates everything else”. I mean, you make a lot of good points about bitcoin, but you’re sort of like “Bitcoin is my love. Everything else is garbage.”

I agree that bitcoin is the best, but someday I hope you appreciate the value of other ideas.

There are actually some sucky inefficient design aspects of bitcoin that it has had to compromise on to pave the way for trustless distributed currency.

I could see bitcoin still being THE cryptocoin standard for years to come despite these problems. And the relative importance of bitcoin’s design problems is debatable. You have put forth some good arguments along these lines in other posts.

I think bitcoin is groundbreaking, it is the best right now, and will be that way for some time to come. And yet, I’m not rushing out to start the cult of bitcoin, where priests sacrifice newborn alternative cryptocurrencies by throwing them under the bus.
