I came across a proof of 2 + 2 = 5. Its quite simple to state:

Except that that’s not a valid proof. As you stated, you must divide by 0 to complete it, which invalidates the proof. I’ve seen similar proofs in my college math proofs class, where it presents a similar proof to show some impossible arithmetic, but you must catch that the proof requires 0-division, thus making the proof incorrect.
