EthCC Hack 2022, presented by Kleros, Aglaé Ventures and CommComm, has finally come to a close. After an intense, but amazing 3 day hackathon in Paris that ran in parallel to a week long online hackathon, we have seen that there are still a number of fantastic, new ideas not yet explored across Ethereums scalability, infrastructure, sustainable DeFi and the creator economy.

So without further ado, let’s recap what we know already:

Over 800 developers, creators, product managers, designers and experts came together to launch 97 new projects, and we have already seen some commit to continuing to build their new initiative.

Prizes are being collected from the sponsors and distribution will begin Monday, August 8, 2022. We regret the delay between the end of the hackathon and distribution, but rest assured the funds are coming!

EthCC and EthCC Hack 2022 were events worth attending, even virtually for those who couldn’t be there in person. Attendees from around the world joined us in person and virtually for workshops, discussions and great projects completed and presented. We can’t wait for next year, where we plan to host an even better event!

So to recap EthCC Hack 2022:

  • 94 submissions
  • 25 sponsors
  • €175K+ in prize money
  • More than 25 different winners

Projects were focused on Ethereum scalability, Infrastructure, Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and Creator economy. We have seen over the past year that we still need to continue building resilient systems, primitives, and to make it easier to unlock the potential of the creator economy in Web3. EthCC Hack 2022 was just the opportunity needed to take the ideas and lessons learned to create unique projects and push the boundaries of Web3 projects.
