Our day on Product Hunt

Well, holy shit.

After months and months of building Zimni, and about a week of planning. We had our Product Hunt debut.

Here is how I felt going to bed the night before our PH debut:

I was totally ready to rock and roll the next day. I woke up at 630 and saw that we’d already been posted about 2 hours before with 4 upvotes! Hell yeah, late nighters were diggin on us. We were mid ranked and I was ready to fuck shit up.

By around 11am we were at 14 upvotes with steady traffic to our site, we stayed consistent with about 5 live users constantly throughout the day at any given time.

I tweeted this to @ProductHunt around 11am

By 2ish we were at roughly 19 upvotes but had moved down in the rankings… other hunted companies were killing it, some at over 200 upvotes. That’s just the way it is though! ( Turns out by tweeting out the direct link to your product hurts your rankings -_- *noted for next time* )

All in all we finished at 42 upvotes, had 731 page views, collected roughly 20 emails and 2 people purchased our service.

Although sharing the direct link so many times nested us perfectly in last place I am still beyond stoked at our performance and I learned a lot from the experience. #GottaStartupSomewhere
