The Ultimate Guide To Self-Confidence By Watching Popeye

“I yam what I yam, an dat’s all what I yam, I’m Popeye the Sailor Man.”

How bad is Facebook is hating me right now for having such a heavy clickbait title like this? I hope that I provide you with some real value too.

If you’re a salty dog like me then you spent parts of your childhood watching a spinach eating fictional cartoon character on TV that went by the name of Popeye. He was a lot of things but something that spoke loudest to me as a kid was how much belief he had in his own self and abilities.

Popeye the Sailor Man was a really good self-esteem builder for me as a young’n.

My point is that it doesn’t matter if you’re a male, female, Asian, black, Hispanic, Native American, or white because you are who you are and that’s what you are — take pride in THAT.

Insults, gossip and any other way that a person could attempt to besmirch your reputation is often referred to (by people smarter than me) as Derogation of Competitors.

Some negative people resort to this approach with the mindset that it will create self-enhancement; that they will elevate their personal status by messing with yours.

What those sour apples never seem to figure out is that eventually people will catch on to their game and all of their credibility will be destroyed.

Just be true to yourself and you’ll ring true to the world.
