Recently I competed at TechCrunch Disrupt. I flew in from Chicago, bright eyed and bushy tailed ready to take on over 1000 hackers. We had the pleasure of “hacking” on SoftBank Robotics Pepper platform.
We presented a concept called Reptionist, a humanoid take on Hospitality and Retail use cases.
After practicing over the course of 24 hours of sleepless coding, we were ready for demo day. Myself, Norman, and Jerry went on stage and prepared for the best. After practicing our script, we didn’t account for the ambient of performing live. Nonetheless our demo went well, minus a hilarious conclusion.
TechCrunch Disrupt Hackathon:
To our astonishment we won 2nd out of a set of 12 teams. Not to mention we were complete strangers prior to this weekend.
Our team hopes to continue development through SoftBank’s fellowship program, which brings best in class ideas for further development within the firm.
