Thank You for your reply:

Again, The Confederate States were in fact an Agricultural Economy, this is true. The Southern States were heavily dependent upon slavery to build their economy in the early years, this is True. Now with that being said, The wealthy land owners of the South had already begun to realize the evils of slavery and were working on developing machinery to take over the task of the slaves. They understood that a machine, such as the Cotton gin could, and did the same work of several 10’s of slaves, but the machine did not require rest, did not require food, did not require medical care, did not complain. So the push was on to eliminate slavery. Of course development takes time and the crops needed harvesting, so yes they continued with Slavery in general terms, however they all began to shut down the Slave trade from Africa:

The Confederate States Of America Constitution Section 9, To Wit:

  1. The importation of negroes of the African race, from any foreign country, other than the slaveholding States or Territories of the United States of America (The North, as there were still many prominent slave owners in the Northern States), is Hereby FORBIDDEN (emphasis mine); and Congress is required to pass such laws as shall effectually PREVENT (emphasis mine) the same.

The South WAS moving away from enslaving African’s (As in Involuntary Servitude). Period.

The Slavery issue was NOT the MAIN conflict, The take-over of the American Republic by the United States Military Fascist Government, which was Created by the Original States of the Republic, the Creators, as a Temporary Government (The northwest Ordinance of 1784) to manage the Territories co-owned by those same Original States. The created had determined to overthrow the creators. Sound familiar? It should, Read the Bible (Again the bible is not religion, it is the truth) Isaiah Chapter 14 Verses 13–15. This was not a new scheme.
