  2. Endorsement: Obtain endorsement from a relevant government agency such as the National Innovation Agency or the Digital Economy Promotion Agency.

  • Maintain at least 600,000 THB in a savings account for 3 months.
  • Additional 180,000 THB per family member if bringing dependents.

4. Health Insurance: Comprehensive coverage for your entire stay in Thailand.

5. Participation or Funding: Either join an approved accelerator/incubator program or secure joint venture funding with a public sector company.

6. Company Structure (for 2-year visa): Hold at least 25% of your company’s shares or a director position.

Application Process

  1. Create an account on the SMART Visa section of the Board of Investment website.
  2. Complete the online application with all required documents.
  3. Wait for screening by the One Stop Center for Visas and Work Permits (OSS).
  4. If approved, receive a Letter of Qualification Endorsement.
  5. Apply for the SMART Visa at a Thai Embassy or Consulate abroad, or a designated center in Thailand.
