The music video ‘Puppycat’ by Wyves is the best feel good rock of Arizona!

Wyves is a straight up “feel good” rock band! The music from the video ‘Puppycat’ is playful, fun, and real. Everything about this feels like all who are involved love the good vibes of the universe.

The video starts off with a shot of a vinyl record and a skateboarder in the dark night with a sparkler in slow motion.

The first words to lead off the track “Are you fired up?” make your inner child want to rock out, and probably dance around your house wearing whatever you like, if anything.

The song goes on to talk about embracing your hometown and all the little moments in between, which I have to admit makes all those good vibes multiply.

I particularly like the shots of the Phoenix valley including the infamous Yucca Tap Room!

The band is made up of Corey, Nick, Evan, and Brenden. These four have already had the pleasure of sharing the stage with other big acts such as Beck, The Avett Brothers, Gary Clark Jr., Aerosmith, and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.

Many of the shots in the video show the members embracing or having a fun time with the folks they love. Nick Sterling’s guitar work is very Queen-esque, and makes me imagine their channeling a modern/retro rock sound of the 70’s and 80's.

I fully enjoyed everything about this music video and the positive fever this Phoenix group delivers is quite infectious. Very excited, in my next feature, to review their newest release in full, ‘Spoils of War’ (2016).

Watch this music video! Hell, watch all their videos! Buy their music! And go see them live RIGHT NOW!
