It seems that a lot of us have forgotten about the terrible things Chick-fil-A’s CEO has said about gay-rights supporters, but gladly, not everyone. Jefferson Starship’s singer decided to allow Chick-fil-A to use the song “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” in their ad, and will be donating all of her profits to LGBQT causes. I love that she saw an opportunity to use a corporation’s funds for good instead of outright rejecting their licensing request.

“…instead of them replacing my song with someone else’s and losing this opportunity to strike back at anti-LGBTQ forces, I decided to spend the cash in direct opposition to “Check”-fil-A’s causes — and to make a public example of them, too.”
