Number 1 Softball Player And Coach In The Nation Calls It Quits After 20 Years

After having numerous no hitter games, hitting a 541 foot home run, and as a coach won 20 softball world series in row, Destiny Escobedo announced that she’ll be retiring the summer of 2050.

Escobedo has been playing sports since she was able to walk but her career began at Bakersfield college where she played softabll for 2 years than transferred to the University of Hawaii with a full ride due to her athletic abilities.

During her years at the University of Hawaii, she set the record of hitting the farthest home run during the Hawaii vs. Georgia State game back in 2023. After 3 years of playing and making softball history with amazing plays, Escobedo took a break and helped coach her hometown’s high school team from 2024 through 2029. When the New year started, Escobedo was asked the opportunity of a lifetime when the University of Florida wanted her to be their new head coach.

For 20 straight years, Escobedo won the Softball World Series. When interviewed she stated “ I never thought a girl like me, especially from a very small town, would come out with so many achievements”. She continued with “ I was always told my dreams were too big and that i would never achieve nothing but i’m here to tell you that no matter what is thrown at you, if you believe it you can achieve it. Just remember to never give up”.

After all those successful years, she was rewarded with becoming number 1 softball player and coach in all the nation and was honored with a monument at the University of Hawaii and Florida State’s Hall of Fame.

Escobedo now plans on spending her retirement with her husband of 26 years and her 4 children exploring the world and just simply enjoying her family as it beings to grow. Escobedo will go down in history as one of the greatest player and coach of all times and just how she says “ Never say never because limits, just like fears, are illusions”.
