Does staging really matter? š¤- Destiny Davis | Destiny Davis Realtor | Destiny Davis Real Estate
I get asked this question all the time and honestly, it really does.
Now that weāre coming into the busiest time of the year for real estate, I thought we should discuss the reasons why you would want to stage or partially stage your home.
According to the National Association of Realtors, for every $100 invested in staging, the potential return is $400.
Thereās something to be said for a homes āwow factorā!
When buyers walk into a home, they want that.
Especially if theyāre going to pay list price or even above list price.
Staged home will sell for 17% more on average than non-staged homes and 87% faster than non staged.
I donāt know about you but I love HGTV and was digging around their website and they suggested a couple tips that Iāll share.
As a seller, donāt take the process personally!
While it might be inconvenient and you might love that particular doll collection, remember the goal of selling your house for the most money in the least amount of time.
Ask the stager if theyāre able to rearrange and reallocate some of what you already have and spruce up by adding some accessories!
Even if you decide against staging⦠for whatever reason, certainly declutter.
A home must show open and uncluttered. Light some candles and create an inviting environment.
Most important, remember 90% of buyers start their home search online and so before the buyer even see the home ā their first impression is via photographs! Hire a photographer and get this professionally done.
Nothing more drives me crazy than when Iām on the MLS and looking at property to see dark and horrible photos, with stuff everywhere.
Put your best foot forward with the photography.
Call me if you have any questions or if you would like a free home evaluation! I would love to help!
