Building the new era of entertainment

The 21st century heralded a new age of ubiquitous, diverse entertainment forms, and people have reached the saturation point. Millennials think they have seen almost everything and desire something more thrilling, something exciting that they have never experienced before.

Tired of financial blockchain, our team decided to try our hand at a completely new area, pushing the art form up and out in a way that no other startup has ever done before. The result is a reality show with tinges of Game of Thrones, where in each episode there is a chance your favourite hero will die.

Exploring and creating tokenized life inside blockchain appeared to be a real challenge. In this universe life events are simulated by smart contracts and blockchain is the only God, while people are merely an audience. DEUS ETH combines elements of a reality show with a blockchain lottery and a visual novel. We wanted drama, gambling and trading meet each other in the best way possible to form an engaging storyline.

50 tokenized heroes have the same chances of survival, and only blockchain can decide who reaches the finish line and wins the prize. Still, we don’t want the participants to feel helpless, so all the hero-owners will occasionally be granted the power to change their tokens’ routes in a bid to increase their chances of survival. Will it actually help? No idea. This novel’s ending is unknown to everyone until the very end of the show.

The token’s limited life expectancy is the part of the general philosophy of making life tokenized. If there is life, there is death too, and it makes life so valuable. If people call blockchain an Internet of value, then it is only a matter of time before life is digitized.
